Sangre Mal EP

This was recorded over many weeks during 2008. It is a 3-song EP that was individually tracked. All the tracking was done at Studio Evil with Ty Brookman and Augustine Ortiz. The final mixes were done by Augustine Ortiz with Ty Brookman consulting.

Can't really remember all the details.. but I will do the best I can.

Scratch guitars were done to a click track which took forever to make. There were just too many time and tempo changes.

Drums were tracked with Studio Projects C-1's as OH. Snare, most likely an SM57. Kick AKG D112. Toms, who knows, probably Shure PG57's. Kick and Toms were sample replaced with Steve Slate Drums. Preamps were Presonus FirePOD's.

Bass was recorded direct into a modded Studio Projects VTB-1.

Guitars are Schecter A-7's (one JB/Jazz pickups, other stock) into either an ENGL Powerball or Mesa MkIII into either an Engl 4x12 Vintage or Earcandy Buzzbomb 2x12 with Eminence Swamp Thangs. Might have used a 1x12 Sovereign as well. Some tracks used an Boss SD-1 as a boost. Mics were either an SM57/Audix i5 with a Kel Audio HM-1. Mic Pre's were probably the modded VTB-1 or Presonus FirePOD's.

Vocals were done with a Studio Projects C-1 into a modded Studio Projects VTB-1.
